NAINA invites you to submit an abstract for a poster or podium presentation for the 9th Biennial Conference to be held on October 4th & 5th, 2024 in Albany, NY.

Abstract Submission Details:
1. All communications related to abstract submissions are conducted through nainaeducation@gmail.com
2. Deadline for submission is June 20, 2024(11:59 PM EST)
3. Accepted abstracts will receive notification via email before July 10th, 2024
4. Podium presentation and Poster topics must be related to the conference theme “ Synergy in Action – Fostering Innovation, Technology and Collaboration in Nursing
5. Conference registration is required for all speakers/presenters of accepted abstracts
6. Presenters are responsible for their own conference registration fees and travel expenses.

Abstract Submission Tracks for Concurrent Sessions:
● Clinical Focused Evidence-based Practice (EBP)
● Advanced Practice/Leadership
● Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA)
● Research/ Education/Bioinnovation

Podium Presentation Guidelines:
Each podium session is 20 minute presentations including 5 minutes for introductions and 5 minutes for questions and answers. (Limit the number of slides to 10-15).

Abstract Guidelines:
● Be concise and cohesive (Limit to 300 words)
● The Abstract is limited to 300 words and should be structured as:
   ■ Purpose
   ■ Methods
   ■ Results, and
   ■Conclusion
● Contain no personal or organizational identifiers (abstracts that contain identifiers are disqualified)
● Address essential components of the presentation
● Refer to the rubric for details

References (suggest top 3-5 references):
o Examples: Evidence-based practice, peer-reviewed journals, clinical guidelines, best practice recommendations
o Current (no older than 5 years) unless classic work. Contain complete publication information in APA format
o All content must be based on the latest evidence and free from product/company promotion

Preparing your abstracts:
1. Abstract submission will only be accepted electronically
2. Select the appropriate category abstract submission tracks
3. Provide the title of your abstract as you want it to appear in the program agenda
4. Prepare your abstract as a separate word document
5. Copy and paste the text of your abstract into the box provided in the online form. The form will accept NO more than 300 words
6. Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the presenting author to present their work if the abstract is accepted
7. All presenters (poster and podium) will be required to submit appropriate paperwork for CNE approval.
